Introducing Mindsets Future Ready Skills

We’ve had our heads down working on a new innovation over the last 12 months: Mindsets Future Ready Skills.
We’re excited to share a little about it with you today.

Mindsets’ founding mission began with the idea of helping to spark students’ entrepreneurial and creative spirit, and preparing every student for the world outside the classroom. We help build life and career readiness through academics, particularly through real-world mathematics applications and measures, via the Mindsets Challenges, Mindsets Projects, and Mindsets Impact Studies. We’re thrilled to have worked with our partner school districts to bring joy and real-world connections to students, resulting in measurable growth and actionable outcomes for all students.

Today, we’re introducing the latest innovation from the Mindsets Labs: Mindsets Future Ready Skills. We believe Future Ready Skills will set a new benchmark for assessment, powering new student reports for Portrait of a Graduate, and will initially supplement and eventually replace state and national academic assessments.

Future Ready Skills takes an asset-based approach to helping students master the skills they need to succeed. Rather than focusing on deficit-based scores (pass or fail), students progress through stages of growth. Future Ready Skills encompasses not only academics, including mathematics and literacy, but also the hard-to-measure power skills. We can’t wait to share this integrated approach to learning and assessment and explore these skills further.

We’re working hard to find great partners to bring Future Ready Skills to every student and every school.
